The acronym stands for Kansas Nutrition – CLaims And Information Management. Help is Available! We have done our best to assure that KN-CLAIM works correctly and is easy to use. However, there is always room for improvement. Please let us know if you encounter any problems or need assistance with using the system. Do you need help using KN-CLAIM or have a system problem to report? Call 785-296-2276 and ask for KN-CLAIM support. What is the Designated Users feature? This feature allows a sponsor’s authorized representative to designate one or more other users who may access and update the following KN-CLAIM functions: Food Safety Training Record Verification Reporting (Pre-Verification Worksheet and Post-Verification Results) Wellness Impact Tool Monthly/Annual Financial Report Claims Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Program Additional Training Contact (5-Star Training System) Financial Management Worksheets The authorized representative can easily: Give each designated user authority to access any one or all of the above functions. Inactivate a designated user at any time. Each designated user must be set-up by the authorized representative in advance of the user’s first login. Before logging in to KN-CLAIM for the first time, the designated user must enter his/her first and last names EXACTLY as they were entered by the authorized representative. The designated user must also create his/her own unique password. The following information details this process. On the Application menu, select Designated Users. 5. On the Designated Users screen, begin entering the designated user’s information. Set-up the designated user: Enter the user’s first and last names. When this person registers to use KN-CLAIM, the first and last names must be entered EXACTLY as the authorized representative entered the names on this screen. Click the checkbox beneath each function that you want this user to be able to access and update. Click the green checkmark () to save the designated user. 7. After saving the designated user’s information, the authorized representative can: Change the user’s status or access to KN-CLAIM functions - Click on the pencil (i.e. Edit) on the row with the user’s name. Cancel an edit by clicking on the red “x”. Save the revised record for the user - Click on the green checkmark (i.e. Save) on the row with the user’s name. Delete the user - Click on the scissors (i.e. Delete) on the row with the user’s name. Click on “Designated User Registration”. 2. Enter the first and last names EXACTLY as they were entered when the authorized representative set-up the designated user. Enter the user id, password, email address and phone number. Be sure to follow the rules at the bottom of the screen for creating passwords. 4. The designated user’s application menu will include the functions that were requested by the authorized representative for the selected NSLP or 5 Star Training Programs.
