You can pay in the money at savethechildren.org.uk/jumpers FROSTY THE GINGERBREAD MAN Ingredients: 350g/120oz plain flour 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda 2 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp cinnamon 125g/4.5oz butter 175g/6oz light soft brown sugar 1 free range egg 4 tbsp golden syrup Writing icing and cake decorations Method: 1. Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon into a bowl and mix well. Cut the butter into cubes and add to the mixture. Rub together until it looks like breadcrumbs. Add in the sugar and stir together. 4. After 15 minutes in the fridge, remove the dough and roll it out to a 0.5cm thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut out gingerbread man shapes and place on the baking tray, leaving a gap between each one. 2. Lightly beat the egg and golden syrup together, add to the dry mixture and work it all together with your hands to form a dough. Knead briefly until smooth, wrap in clingfilm and put in the fridge for 15 minutes. 5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Take out of the oven and leave on the tray for ten minutes, then move to a wire rack. Once cool, add your own Christmas jumper designs using writing icing and cake decorations. 3.
