Construction Alert
Speed Limit Reduced in Construction Zone
SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY!
Caltrans is partnering with the California Highway Patrol
and the City of Menifee Police Department to enforce
the upcoming newly reduced speed limit to enhance the
safety of motorists and workers. Drivers are reminded to
"Slow for the Cone Zone."
Caltrans will be reducing the speed limit
on both the northbound and southbound
I-215 between McCall Blvd. and
Scott Rd. to 55mph.
The City of Menifee will also be
reducing the speed limit on
Newport Rd. between Haun Rd.
and Antelope Rd. to 35mph.
Please be aware that these reduced speed limits will be
strictly enforced and traffic fines increase in the
construction zone. Signs will be posted alerting motorists
of reduced speed limits in the construction zone.

Please plan ahead in anticipation of the temporary
increased traffic in this area. If possible, please avoid the
project corridor and see map for alternate/detour routes.

Avoid use of mobile
phones or other
distractions.
There may not always be orange cones marking the
"Cone Zone," but orange construction signs, concrete
railing, and heavy equipment all indicate an active work
zone.
Bradley Rd.
Allow extra time to get
to your destination.
The freeway
speed limit from
McCall Blvd. to
Scott Rd. will be
reduced to
55mph.
Murrieta Rd.
Slow down and watch
for workers and
equipment.
Scott Rd.
Motorists and pedestrians should slow down and use
caution when traveling through work zones, near
barricades and equipment.
