Pre-Fair Checklist!
Organizing for the county fair reduces stress. Here is an example of a
“to-do” list for you to create for your family or with your own 4-Her.
June 15— turn in animal identification sheets.
July 5—pick-up 4-H t-shirt to show in (county contests, livestock, pets).
July 10—sign-up to work a shift in the 4-H Food Stand.
July 15— turn in all exhibits you want to bring to fair on pre-entry
sheets (so cards can be made and animal stalls assigned).
July 15– Make sure you’re enrolled in all projects you are bringing to fair.
July club meeting—work with leader to take a shift for herdsmanship.
July 17—fill out all the documents for clothing day and modeling.
July 31—turn in barn quilt entry for club contest.
July 31—enter all animals and static exhibits at the fair.
Want to really teach your 4-H member organization? Make a check list for each
event or static exhibit for the county fair. Here are a couple examples:

____ Decoupage Wall Hanging
____ Information Sheet

____ Item labeled
Dog Show, Wednesday, 9 a.m.
____ Dog
____ Vaccination Records
____ 6’ leather leash ____ Water Bowl
____ Enrolled in Project
____ 4-H Shirt
