WhatifthisisonprivatepropertydoIstillneedapprovalfromtheprovince?Yes,AlbertaTransportationneedstoensure
thatwhatisgoingupalongthehighwayswillnotcausehazardsorconfusionfortraffic,forexample,anadvertisement
signthatdisplaystrafficsignsorflashing,orintermittent,orrotatinglights.
IfyoursignrequiresAlbertaTransportationapprovalasoutlinedabove,werequestthatyouproceedwithgettingthat
approvalpriortoapplyingforapermitfromtheM.D.AdenialfromAlbertaTransportationwouldinvalidateanypermit
issuedfromtheM.D.
2.Isthesignlocatedatyourpermittedbusiness?Youcanhaveonefreestandingsignonthepropertyadvertisingthe
business.Additionalsignsshallrequireapermit.AllothersignsadjacenttoM.D.roadsorthathavereceivedAlberta
TransportationapprovalrequireaDevelopmentPermitfromtheM.D.ofBonnyville.*
