The new generation of FLIR IP cameras support a
feature called Corridor Mode. When viewing narrow
scenes, such as staircases or hallways, Corridor
Mode optimizes the monitoring area by eliminating
irrelevant areas of the image (e.g., walls in a hallway)
while providing more effective coverage of the area
of interest.
Typically, HD videos are recorded with an
aspect ratio of 16:9 (horizontal format). When
Corridor Mode is enabled, HD videos are
recorded with an aspect ratio of 9:16 (vertical
format).
16:9 Ratio (Standard Mode)
NOTES:
• Corridor Mode is supported only by certain FLIR
IP cameras. Check your camera’s datasheet to
determine if your camera is supported.
• It is recommended to enable Corridor Mode when
viewing portrait-oriented scenes via eyeball / vandal
dome cameras only. It is not recommended to
use Corridor Mode with bullet cameras due to the
position of the sunshield.
9:16 Ratio (Corridor Mode)
You can configure Corridor Mode using the camera’s web interface or a compatible NVR:
