Adora Oy introduces new rug brand at Stockholm’s furniture fair
Finnish company Adora, which has a long history in wholesaling and importing interior
textiles, introduces a new rug brand named Adora Rugs. Adora – A Thousand and One
Handcrafted Rugs is a collection of designer rugs that has a unique story.
Adora’s rugs feature Scandinavian design and oriental craftwork. They are handmade in India
and Turkey, where artisan skills have been passed from generation to generation and is still a
big part of their culture.
“A Thousand and One Handcrafted Rugs is a collection of unique, high-quality design rugs.
The rugs are exclusively designed to Scandinavian taste and for bringing harmony and
softness into every space. Craftsmanship is present in every rug in its own unique way,
reflecting the story of each rug”, says Adora Oy’s managing director Simon Hasan.
“We want to serve customers with high-quality designer rugs at a reasonable price, since there
are only a few brands providing these kinds of products. There is a gap in the market here”,
Hasan continues.
As support for sustainable development
Adora Rugs is the first Finnish business to be involved in the international CARE & FAIR organization, which supports humanitarian work in regions where rugs are made.
“We wish to support sustainable development and artisan skills in regions where rug making is
a big part of local tradition. By being involved in the organization, we support families in these
regions, helping them receive better healthcare and education for their children.”
The first collection of Adora Rugs, is on display at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, during
