Organization: ACCESS AfterSchool partners with local schools to provide opportunities for all students to further develop academic, social and physical skills in a safe and healthy environment within extended-day programs and beyond. Job Title: Program Coordinator Reports To: Program Director Part Time: 20 hours per week FSLA status: Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Program Coordination: o Assists Program Director in scheduling classes and programs o Coordinates student registration: Compiles registration forms for each school Enters class registration information on website Delivers registration packets to schools & picks up completed forms. Enters student and class data into database to a high degree of accuracy Communicates with parents regarding registration and enrollment o Supports day-to-day operations of programs: Substitutes for instructors and liaisons occasionally Delivers class supplies and snack to schools periodically Communicates class information and schedule changes to participating families Visits programs to observe classes in session Assists in communicating with parents/guardians regarding student attendance Assists with pre- and post-program evaluation May supervise & transport students to off-campus field trips Program Outreach: o Represents Access AfterSchool in a positive and professional manner o Enthusiastically promotes Access AfterSchool classes and programs: Coordinates school announcements & video promos with school office staff & liaisons Attends Back to School Night and other parent/school events Collaborates with liaison & school staff to Identify potential students for programs In-school class presentations to students for enrollment/recruiting purposes o Creates positive relationships to encourage involvement with parents, students, teachers and community o Collects testimonials from participants o Captures classes and programs in photos and videos o Assists Program Director with pre-session parent & teacher meetings Proactively offers ideas and suggestions for program improvement Contributes to marketing, fundraising and other organization-wide efforts when needed Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: Experience working with youth and Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience is required. Language Ability: Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills required. Bilingual English/Spanish desirable. Teamwork & Collaborative Skills: A positive, professional attitude and the ability to be self-directed while operating within guidelines is required. Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Internet browser and search engines. Photo & video editing, graphic design, website maintenance & social media skills highly desirable. Licenses & Background: Valid Driver’s License, Proof of Vehicle Insurance, criminal background check and fingerprinting is required Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to work in an open-office environment.
