12 Noon – Keep taking the tablets- The Second Commandment

Dervock Reformed Presbyterian-Parent and Toddler Group- Meets on
Friday Mornings, 10am. All parents, grandparents, carers and children
welcome.
Stamps for the Leprosy Mission-Please continue to put used stamps into
the container on the vestibule table. They are a great help to the work of the
Leprosy Mission. Many thanks.
Sunday School-Meets today at 11am, before worship. All children
welcome. All teenagers welcome at 21:12. Please see Mrs R. Surgenor (or
any of the teachers)or the Rev. Moore
Young People-There will be a work sheet to help you engage with the
sermon the whole way through the ‘Keep taking the tablets’ series. It’s on
the communion table.
Christianity Explored Course-The Revs. Moore and Dunwoody will be
facilitating a Christianity Explored Course in Dervock Community Centre
for 8 weeks. This is starting on Tuesday 31 st January at 7:30pm. It’s for
anyone and everyone. If you’re a Christian or not! No question is
considered wrong! Please come along, encourage your friends to come
along and please pray for the course. If you missed last week, please come
along this week.
Communicant Enquiry Classes-Have you recently become a Christian, or
been one for some time? A new series of communicant enquiry classes will
be commencing in March. If interested, please speak to Rev. Moore. He
must know soon. Classes will be beginning in March to allow for the Easter
holidays in April.
Pastoral-Please remember, if you require the services of a minister, or you
know of someone who is unwell or in hospital, please contact the minister on
the manse telephone number. Due to data protection Ministers no longer
have access to the same details of patients as they used to. Also, if you
currently don’t receive the church magazine, envelopes or other church
literature, please let the Minister know.
Midweek Bible study and Prayer-Session has decided that during the
Christianity Explored Course that Midweek won’t meet. You are invited to
come along on Tuesday nights instead.
Technical-Thank you to those of you who attended training for operating the
audio-visual equipment in the meeting House. If you would like to be
involved in this new work, please see Mr. Harold Irwin. It is hoped that not
only will the PowerPoint facility be used every week, but that DVDs will be
produced of the services to be distributed to those who cannot get out to
church. Maybe you are someone who can deliver 1 or 2 DVDs every week?
Youth Club-Following the safe arrival of baby Richmond, John and JulieAnne need more volunteers to help with youth club on Friday nights. This is
now a priority! Please add your name to the sheet in the vestibule if you can
help. Thank you.
Crèche Facility-From now on, there will be a crèche facility in the
Minister’s room during the morning service. Please don’t feel you cannot
come to church if your little one makes noise. There is a box of toys on in
the room and the service is relayed through the screen, so you don’t miss out.
All babies must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. Thank you!
Box for Smiles- Following a very good and moving presentation by Barbara
Morrison at our Wednesday Fellowship, there will be a small box in the
vestibule for anyone who would like to donate blankets or decent clothing
towards the people who benefit from Smiles in Romania.
Tuesday Tots-This will commence on Tuesday 2nd May. For more info
speak to Mrs. Audrey Gibson. Please tell your friends and family with little
ones.
Dervock Presbyterian Ladies –Community Arts/Visual Arts-Next
session Monday 6th March and final Thursday 23rd March, both 7-9.30pm
important session working on panels with theme “Landmarks” Dervock. We
have had good numbers and many visitors but still time for more members of
church and community to come along.
Calling all knitters! Wooly hats, scarves and gloves would be gladly
received and passed onto Colin Jenkins, Seamen Christian Friends Society
(Cork). Colin can give up to 100 wooly hats away on a daily basis. They are
always gladly received. Thanks, Lynda.
Roseyards Presbyterian Church and Boys’ Brigade-An evening of
entertainment including Young Farmer’s Arts Festivals. Wednesday 15 th
March, 8pm. Cost £6.
Choir Practice- Today, Sunday 19th March, immediately after church. Full
attendance please.
Communion roll- All communicant members of the congregation will be
recieiving a letter before the May communion. The communion roll is being
revised (it’s supposed to be done every 5 years). Please note, if you do not
receive a letter, you are not on the communion roll. Many thanks.
PW- Spring Tea in Garryduff. Saturday, 8 th April, 2-4pm. Admission £5
and all proceeds towards Cancer Research UK.
