A: A complete list of participating teams will be posted on the web site on or near Friday, September 18th. Q: When are schedules available and where do I find them? A: Schedules will be available in early November and will be posted on our web site and available in your teams GOT SOCCER account. Q: Is there a separate registration for the boys and girls? A: Yes, the boys’ check-in registration is on December 26th, from 5-9pm at the host hotel Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. The girls’ registration is on December 30th, from 6-9pm at the host hotel Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. Q: When will the finals be played? A: All finals will be kicked off no later than 3:30pm on December 30th (boys) and January 3rd (girls). Please plan your return travel accordingly! Q: How do I book my accommodations for the Showcase? How do I contact them? A: All hotel rooms must be booked through our official travel providers, Anthony Travel, Inc. for Domestic and Canadian Teams. Q: Where do I send my roster and permission to travel? A: Please bring all official documents to on-site registration. Q: Can my team play with US Club Soccer player passes? A: Yes, any USSF affiliate passes are acceptable. Q: What are the game suspension rules for a red card? A: Red Card suspensions will be per FYSA Rule 502. NO exceptions Q: Do Red Cards count against me in the scoring to advance? A: Red Cards only come into play as one of the last tie-breakers when deciding which teams advance. Q: Can a player participate with an orthopedic cast? A: NO! Per FYSA Rule 402.2.b Q: Will we be able to increase our roster size to 22 per the new guidelines for State Cup play in the U15-19 age groups? A: YES, only 18 can dress and play each game. Q: Are there off-site facilities used? Are spectator tickets required at off-sites? A: YES we utilize off-site facilities and tickets are NOT required. Q: Can U19 players participate in the Boy’s and Girl’s Showcase event? A: U19 players are eligible to play as long as they meet the following tournament rule, “This event was developed as a showcase for players to be seen by college coaches. The under 19 player must currently be enrolled in high school or not affiliated with, in any way, a collegiate program. If you are not sure of a player’s eligibility ask, in writing, the Tournament Director. Q: Do I have to input my rosters into the on-line scheduling program? A: YES, all teams are required (mandatory) to input their rosters into GOT SOCCER. These rosters will be included in the referee game reports for use on the field. They will be crossed checked against your approved association roster. Q: How far up until the actual event can the roster be changed? A: There is no problem adjusting your roster; you can do so up until on-site registration as long as any new players have appropriate documentations. US Club rosters are accepted by us and please make sure all players are updated online in GOT SOCCER. Q: Is there a guest player pool available? A: Yes. If you are interested in potential guest players contacting you directly you must go to your GOT Soccer team page, click on the event, and then click on the box that states Allow unassigned Guest Players to email manager and coach (if available) located on the left hand side. A: No, after you have been accepted into the event you will receive an invoice. This is when you are required to pay in full the event fee, two weeks after official acceptance. Q: Will player profiles for college coaches be made available at the event? A: As part of the on-line rosters inputted by the teams the U15-U18 age groups will have the opportunity to build a player profile that will be available on-line before, during and after the event. Q: Are USSF DA teams eligible to participate? A: Yes, we have approval from USSF. Q: How or what guidelines are used to select teams for the event? A: We look at the team’s history over the past 12 months in competitive events. We look at league play, Premier League play, State Cup, tournaments, club history, previous Disney performances, and coach recommendations. We also use GOT SOCCER team rankings as a guideline only. Q: Are there fields available for teams to have a training session before the event? A: We do not have any available due to the pre-tournament preparations. We suggest contacting a local high school or club for access. Q: What are FYSA’s rules for the allowing players of other National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to guest play on their teams or for FYSA players to guest play for teams registered by other NGBs? A: FYSA does not allow other NGB’s players to guest play on their teams only FYSA or USYS affiliated players. A US Club player may not guest play on a FYSA team.
