Changing the rear tire on your EMU Trike 1/ Remove the chrome center hub cap, Undo the large bolt in the middle of the wheel. 2/ Remove the black metal collar. 3/ Slide the wheel off the spindle. (Sometimes you may need to tap the inside of the wheel with a rubber hammer to remove it). 4/ Remove valve cap and push the end of a pen into the center of the valve and completely deflate the tire. 5/ In the center of the wheel hub there is 4 Allen bolts. Undo the Allen bolts and then the hub will split into two pieces. 6/ Remove the tire and inner tube from the old tire. 7/ Insert the inner tube inside the new tire. 8/ Put the one side of the hub on a flat surface and insert into the center of the tire. Push the other side of the hub on top. (This may be difficult because it’s a new tire) Make sure that you don’t trap the inner tube between the two halves of the hub. Align the valve with the cutout in the hub. 9/ Screw the 4 Allen bolts back into the hub and tighten securely. 10/ Blow tire up, the pressure should not exceed 32lbs. 11/ Put the wheel back on to the spindle. 12/ Put the black spacer back onto the spindle 13 Put the centre bolt back on and tighten securely. If you feel that you are not sure or capable to do this repair take the wheel or your trike to a local tire replacement centre. Center Nut Allen bolts x 3 or 4
