Film: “Ironed Jawed Angels”
Directed by Katja Von Garniery, featuring Hilary Swank. The film focuses
on the American women’s suffrage movement during the 1910’s.

Features the performing artist, Rosa Lee, in her one-woman show live and
on stage. This variety show weaves together stories, poetry, video, music
and more into a single web of American Sign Language celebration.

Women’s History Month
Creative Writing Submission
Submit creative writing and/or essay inspired by a Women’s History Month
event you attend or by a course assignment pertaining to women. Prizes will
be awarded for winners who place in each contest (1st $250, 2nd $150, and
3rd $100). Submit your work to Professor Jamie Sindell, Chair of English/
Reading/Communication, Mawhinney Hall, Room M310. Please note that
OCC professors may also submit student papers for consideration.
Drive for Women’s Toiletries and
Personal Care Products
Throughout the month we will be collecting women’s toiletries and personal
care products to donate to Onondaga’s food pantry. If you are interested in
making a donation, feel free to bring the item(s) to one of the above events.
Events are being sponsored by the College’s College Affiliated Services, C-STEP Office, department of English/Reading/Communication, department of Social Sciences,
Disability Services Office, Diversity Council, Diversity Services, Office of Student Accounts, Office of Student Leadership and Engagement, and Residence Life
