PBCN Reserve Designation Scheduled for January 15th, 2014 Be advised that a commercial/leasing purpose Band Wide Designation Vote has been ordered by the PBCN Chief and Council. All pertinent figures and address information has been forwarded to Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC). The designation vote is scheduled for January 15th, 2014. The following lands are being included in this upcoming vote as follows: Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Reserve Lands 1) Southend Indian Reserve 200A known locally as Akameek (former Municipal side) The Land is equal to 11.64 acres (4.71 ha) 2) Chief Joseph Custer Indian Reserve. The whole of Lot “D” 41.15 acres (16.653 Ha) CLSR Plan 59162 3) Mistahi-‐Wasahk Indian Reserve #209 (6333.4 Hectares) also known as Deep Bay 4) Pelican Narrows Indian Reserve #206 for that portion of Lot 2113 on Parcel AD (91PA07904LTO). Lands adjacent to and South of the Super 8 Motel in Prince Albert, Sask. ü Mail outs will commence in mid-‐November and should arrive within 10 days for those whose addresses were known as of October 28, 2013 ü Packages will also be hand delivered by the end of November in our communities (people will be asked to sign that they received the package) ü Local radio stations will be used as well as MBC Radio for November, December and January ü Local personnel are going to assist AANDC on the community meetings that are coming as well as during the voting day. Community information dates are listed below ü All voting packages go directly to AANDC and will only be opened by them on the designation vote date. If you are 18 on or before Jan.15/2014 you are eligible to vote. ü Once the White Envelope Package called the Designation Document is in your hands it is up to you to participate. If you wish you can send in the stamped envelope directly to Indian Affairs or wait until the Community Meeting listed below for Dec.16 & 17. If you want to wait until the Polling Station on January 15th, 2014 it is up to you as well.
