Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases and data
systems
Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Develop, modify, maintain and support custom reports (MS SQL, SSRS, Crystal) for both
ad-hoc and ongoing needs
Interpret data and analyze results
Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize
efficiency and data quality
Responsible for MASB’s membership database (iMIS 20) and ensure that it performs at
optimum levels with data integrity, and that it successfully integrates with external
applications and MASB’s website
Train staff on iMIS RISE and iMIS add-on modules
Create and maintain technical documentation for various systems, services and business
processes including databases and reporting procedures
Assist with the review, consolidation and reduction of data discrepancies
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Train users in the operations and scheduling of reports
Work with 3rd-party vendors on support and maintenance issues that may include
specification design and development oversight, as well as testing and integration
within other applications

Required Education and Experience
•

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, statistics or five or
more years of technology related on-the-job experience
Proven working experience as a data/reporting analyst
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining
and segmentation techniques
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting services (SSRS, Crystal Reports),
databases (i.e. SQL), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate
significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft products
Preferred Education and Experience

Computer-related certifications in association to database administration and/or
reporting
Experience working with Association Management Systems such as iMIS 20/RISE
Knowledge of the following iMIS add-ons: Task Centre, iEmail, iMerge and Accumail
Experience working with Microsoft’s hosted solutions such as Exchange, SharePoint,
Skype for Business and Dynamics CRM
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large
datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
Experience in .net, aspx and json

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to
5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
