3-hour classroom-only course for firearm knowledge and safe gun handling
covering:
- NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling and primary causes
of firearms accidents
- Firearm actions and parts; how to load/unload action types –
pistols, rifles, shotguns
- Ammunition types, styles, history, safety …
- Basic firearm cleaning and care as well as safe storage of firearms
in the home
- Benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports.
Students will receive NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety
Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, and course
completion certificate.
