Included with your Pallet Wood Project in a Box is the Eureka Cut screws needed to assemble the kist as well as a Eureka Ratchet
screwdriver and square bit with which to drive the screws home.
St eps 1 & 2 (Fixin g t h e sh or t sides t o t h e base)
-
Place the base (3) on a flat surface with the solid side facing up.
Note that the short sides (1) each have two cross bars on them.
Place one of the short sides (1) on the edge of one of the base's (3) short sides using the bottom cross bar as a shoulder
? the end with the holes should be at the bottom.
Next, make sure the edges of the short side (1) are flush with that of the base (3).
Drive the Cut screws into the pre-drilled screw holes until they are flush with the wood.
Follow the same steps to fix the remaining short side (1) to the base's (3) remaining short side.
St ep 3 & 4 (Fixin g t h e lon g sides t o t h e base)
-
Place one of the long sides (2) on the edge of one of the base's (3) long sides using the bottom cross bar as a shoulder ?
the end with the holes should be at the bottom.
Note that the cross bars on the long sides (2) don't extend all the way across the sides as this enables the short sides (1)
to fit flush between the long sides (2).
Next, make sure the edges of the long side (2) are flush with that of the short sides (1) and fix the long side (2) to the
base (3).
Drive the Cut screws into the pre-drilled screw holes until they are flush with the wood.
Follow the same steps to fix the remaining long side (2) to the base's (3) remaining long side.
St ep 5 & 6 (Fixin g t h e lon g sides t o t h e sh or t sides)
-
You'll notice there are three screw holes on each side of the two long sides (2).
Use these pre-drilled screw holes to fix the long sides (2) to the short sides (1).
Tighten the screws until they are flush with the wood.
St ep 7 (At t ach in g t h e lid)
The lid (4) is easily attached to the kist by means of the Eureka hinges
which simply ?click?into place.
-
-
You?ll notice half of the hinge is already installed in the lid (4) ? this
is the mounting plate.
And the other half of the hinge is already installed in the one long
side (2).
First, flip the part of the hinges installed in the long side (2) so that
they point upward.
Now you can take the lid (4) and attach it to the kist by hooking the
part of the hinge installed in the lid (4) onto the part of the hinge
installed in the long side (2).
Once the two parts of the hinges are hooked together, press onto
each until you hear a clear ?click?sound signifying a successful
installation.
St ep 6 (Decor at in g you r Kist )
Once your kist is assembled, the possibilities of how you can decorate, and what you can use the kist for, are endless! To name
but a few, you can paint, varnish or stain your kist any colour you like. And the kist can be used as a storage kist, coffee table or
even a bench on your patio.
