Part-time, student position with the Behavior Intervention Services (BSI) through the California State University,
Fresno Foundation. BSI applies the principles of behavior analysis to improve independence and quality of
life by addressing communication, self-care, leisure skills, problem behaviors, and functional skills for
clients.
The Behavior Technician will provide direct support to clients served, collect data and implement behavior
change programs designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), implement empirically
validated intervention plans, assist with functional behavior assessments, take direction from graduate-level
case supervisors, and participate in supervision from a BCBA. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the
following:
 Assist in communication between families, supervisors, managers, and administrative staff
 Conduct preference assessments and treatment programs as directed by supervisors
 Data collection
 Follow behavior protocols
 Create and maintain a positive environment for our clients
 Write daily session notes
 Use incidental teaching strategies
 Update supervisors on the outcomes of each day’s sessions
 Capture electronic signatures for each session conducted
 Render each appointment at the end of each session
 Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly Institute meetings
 Other duties as assigned

 Current student at Fresno State
 Reliable means of transportation, proof of auto insurance, and California driver’s license
 Two (2) letters of recommendation from professor(s) and/or employer(s)
 TB test clearance
 Pass Department of Justice background check
 Interest in working with individuals with disabilities
 Afternoon (2:00-8:00 pm) and weekend availability
Preferred:
 Enrolled in or completion of Psychology 172 (Intro to ABA) and/or 136 (Human Learning &
Behavior)
o GPA of 3.0 or higher
 Students who have a passion and commitment to provide services for children, adolescents, and
adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
 Bilingual in English and Spanish
$11.00 - $14.00 per hour. This position is non-benefited. Pay is based on experience performance.
