SPECIFYING QUALITY ORGANIC INFILL SYSTEMS QUALIFICATIONS 1. Performance layer of infill matrix of the proposed system must be comprised of 100% fully organic plant-based material of either 100% granulated cork or coconut husk or a mixture of coconut husk and granulated cork. 2. If the performance layer of the infill matrix is comprised of 100% cork, the bulk density of the granulated cork material must be between 0.20g/cm3 – 0.30g/cm3. 3. If the performance layer of the infill matrix is comprised of either coconut husk peat or a mixture of coconut husk and cork, the bulk density of the material must be 0.16g/cm3 +/- 15%. 4. Organic infill material being proposed for this project must have third-party testing proving that the infill material conforms to the European Toy Safety standard EN 71-3 (Part 3). 5. Synthetic Turf Manufacturer must have experience installing fully organic infill material with sand infill on at least 10 fields in the United States and at least 5 fields in North America, with each field being a minimum of 65,000 square feet.
