TOURNAMENT
RESULTS
The T.S. Cooley Chess team
competed Saturday at the
Bishop Nolan Episcopal Day
School’s chess tournament
against other schools
in Calcasieu parish.
In the kindergarten through
2nd grade category the
winners were: 1st place Dominic Broussard, 3rd place Mahad Jadoon, 5th place Eli Smithey, and 6th place Ryan Fontenot.
In the 3rd -5th grade category
the winners were: 1st place Minh Trahn, 2nd place Ethan
Wang, 3rd place - Dillan Patel,
4th place - Shreya Thakekar,
4th place Malakai Turner and
6th place Robby Fuslier.

performed at the Louisiana
Association Kodaly
Educators State Choir
Festival held the first
weekend of April. Those
students were:

Harger, Rian Keepes,
Addison Koonce, Alexis
Nichols, Louisa Rossowski,

Williams.
After singing two songs the
students joined with the other
participating choirs to sing an
additional 3 songs.

SHARES HIS TALENTS
AT DEQUINCY
RAILROAD DAYS
T.S. Cooley 4th grader,
Landon Brignac, walked
away with the 1st place title
in the elementary division this
past Saturday at the annual
Dequincy Railroad Days Idol
Contest. Landon entertained
everyone within listening
distance and proved that not
only is he an outstanding lip
sync performer but a terrific
singer.

Mrs. Lanier is happily
accepting donations at this
time for the end of year AR
pep rally. Items needed are
LSU, MSU and Saints prizes
for this fun
event.
