PROPOSAL THAT THE CLASSIFICATION
OF A PORTION
OF FARM ROAD 604 BE CHANGED AND THAT A ROAD
BE DECLARED A PROCLAIMED
DISTRICT ROAD
(NUMBER 570): DISTRICT OF KEETMANSHOOP
In terms of section 20( 1) of the Road Ordinance, 1972 (Ordinance 17 of
1972), it is hereby made known that the Permanent Secretary for Works,
Transport and Communication proposes that in the district of Keetmanshoop -

(a) the classification of the portion of farm road 604 described in Schedule I
and shown on sketch-map P1468 by the symbols A-B, be changed to
district road (number 570); and
(b) the portion of the road described in Schedule II and shown on sketchmap Pl468 by the symbols B-C-D, be declared a proclaimed district
road (number 570).
A copy of this notice and the said sketch-map being a sketch-map of the area
concerned on which the roads to which the proposal refers and other
proclaimed, minor and private roads in that area are shown, shall for the full
period of thirty days mentioned below lie open to inspection at the offices of
the Permanent Secretary for Works, Transport and Communication,
Windhoek, and the Roads Superintendent, Keetmanshoop, during normal
office hours.
Every person having any objection to the above-mentioned proposal is
hereby commanded to lodge his objection in writing, with the grounds upon
which it is based clearly and specifically therein stated, with the Permanent
Secretary for Works, Transport and Communication, Private Bag 12005,
Ausspannplatz, 9000, within a period of thirty days from the date of
publication of this notice.

From a point (A on sketch-map P1468) on district road 545 across the farm
N aute 119 generally east-south-eastwards
to a point (B on sketch-map
P 1468) at the junction with farm road 604 on the said farm.

From a point (B on sketch-map P 1468) on farm road 604 on the farm N aute
119 generally east-north-eastwards across the said farm to a point (C on
sketch-map P1468) on the said farm; thence generally eastwards across the
said farm to a point (D on sketch-map P1468) on the said farm.

In terms of section 22(2) of the Roads Ordinance, 1972 (Ordinance 17 of
1972), it is hereby made known that the President has under section 22(1)(c)
of the said Ordinance, in the district of Swakopmund, deviated district road
1901 de~,cribed in paragraph (a) of the Schedule and shown on sketch-map
P1456 by the symbols A-D-E, from the route so described and shown, to the

The said sketch-map shall at all times lie open to inspection at the office of

State Land generally east-south-eastwards and more and more eastwards across the said State Land to a point (D on sketch-map P 1456) on
the said State Land; thence generally eastwards and more and more
