The Mexican Red Foot Snail, also known as Norris Top Shell, Red Foot Moon Snail, or Red Foot Moon Algae Snail, has a
bright red foot which will add color to any aquarium.
The Mexican Red Foot Snail prefers an aquarium with ample hiding places, plenty of room to roam, and live rock so that it
can graze on algae. It provides a valuabe service by clearing the film algae from the sides of the tank. It is sensitive to high
levels of copper-based medications and will not tolerate high nitrate levels.
It is extremely difficult to breed in an aquarium, and has no distinguishing characteristics to help differentiate it from its mate.
