Going to see A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep! I am going to see a play called A Christmas Carol with _________________________________________________________________________________ Insert name(s) of companions A play is a live form of entertainment. Actors will be right in front of me in the theater. The show is on Saturday, November 12th at noon, but I can go and see my seats early at 11AM. A Christmas Carol takes place at Trinity Rep in Providence, Rhode Island in the Lederer Theater Center at 201 Washington Street in Providence, Rhode Island. I can bring fidget toys, snacks and __________________________________ with me to the play! (name of object) When I arrive at the theater, I may have to wait in line at the Box Office to pick up tickets. I will try to be quiet and stay with _____________________________________ while we wait. (name of companion) When we go into the lobby, someone with a Trinity Rep name tag will show me where to go. If I need to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water, I can go with ________________________________ at this time. (name of companion) I can either take the elevator or stairs to get up to the 3rd floor. When I get to the 3rd floor, an usher will show me where to enter the Chace Theater. We have tickets that tell us what row and number our seats are. We need to sit in these seats because they are reserved for us. This is not a choice! Someone will show me where these seats are. The show begins at 12 noon and someone will tell us we cannot use phones or cameras in the theater. Once the play begins, I will watch actors performing in the same room as me. The story is about an old man, Ebenezer Scrooge, on the night before Christmas. There are four ghosts who visit him throughout the night to tell him he needs to change his life and be a better person. The ghosts are NOT real. They are actors in costumes and makeup, like on Halloween! They are pretending. If I get scared, I can go with _____________________________ (name of companion) to the lobby to relax. I can also watch from the back of the audience in the bench seats. If I get scared or overwhelmed, I can count to 10 slowly, take 5 deep breaths, or play with _________________________ (name of favorite fidget toy) When and if I am ready to return to my seat, an usher can help me back into the audience. Halfway through the play, we will have a break to stretch and go to the bathroom or get a snack. This is called an intermission. The intermission will last about 15 minutes. Afterwards, we should return to our seats to watch the rest of the play. When the play is over, I can show that I enjoyed it by giving them a big round of applause! I had fun with _____________________________________ (name of companion) seeing A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep!
