We’ll bring the zoo to you! We can
bring several ambassador animals to
your next Scout meeting. Your troop
or pack can learn all about our animals
and their adaptations through a fun and close-up
encounter.

• Step 3: Someone from the Education Department
will check program date availability and get back to you
within one week of your registration. If you do not hear
back after this time, please email us.
• Step 4: You will receive a contract with payment
information and your program date (based on availability
or workshop registered for) within one week of your
program registration submission. Please email the
Education Department if you have not received a
confirmation.
• Step 5: Submit your payment, via the link on your
contract or by check at the above address with a copy of
your contract, to secure your selected date and time. o Note that a 10 person or $120 minimum is required for all individually booked workshops.

Enjoy an evening at the Zoo for scouts and their families!
Participants for this program get to enjoy special after-hours admission to the zoo
when it closes to the public! There will be games, crafts, and activities all geared
toward scout requirements. Brandywine Zoo patches will be available for purchase.
This outdoor event takes place twice a year, in the spring and fall (check our website
for dates), so please dress for the weather. See the listing below for requirements met.

Journey: 3 Cheers for Animals, Birdbath Award
Learn what animals need and how to care for them. Daisy scouts will
be able to say that “Animals need care; I need care. I can do both.”
Then Daisy scouts will be able to use their knowledge and creativity to
teach others how to care for animals.
Adventure: Tigers In the Wild
Scouts will learn the difference between what animals eat, and
whether that makes them an herbivore, carnivore, omnivore,
or detrivore. Discover how to identify animals and plants, and
practice together.

zoo, and discuss why some animals are disappearing from their
habitat in addition to ways to help them.

Elective Adventure: Critter Care
Bear Cubs will learn about how animals help us, and how we
can help them. Explore the 5 things animals need to survive and
discover specific needs our pets might have.

Juniors will learn about wild animals and how to protect them. We
will also investigate animal habitats and make an “animal house”

things Juniors can do to help animals and nature, such as an energy

on animal life cycles, wildlife and ecosystems. Scouts will learn about

The Zoo takes part in lots of conservation work here in Delaware and internationally! Want to learn about
endangered species? What does it mean to conserve? Come take a walk on the wild side with us and meet
some animals that are a part of conservation efforts around the world!

Join us for one of our monthly Career and Animal Science workshops focusing on studying or working
with animals as well as animal careers. Workshop dates are posted on events calendar.
