of the largest, attracting upwards of 10,000 entries. The 2018 show takes place in one of

Depart USA for Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Fly from your nearest gateway city to Amsterdam
Schiphol Airport (AMS) arriving the next day.

Tuesday, August 7
Arrive Amsterdam
Arrive Amsterdam Airport and meet your
Huron Tour Manager who will assist in finding
your private deluxe motor-coach for your
included hotel transfer.
You’ll check in to the wonderful and perfectly
situated four-star Radisson Blu Amsterdam
hotel on arrival. We’ll help you get oriented, and the
remainder of the day is free to experience Amsterdam
before meeting your fellow travelers for a memorable
Canal Cruise (the best way to see Amsterdam).
There is a very good reason why Amsterdam is known as
‘the Venice of the North’. This city was built to be seen
from the water, and our private canal cruise will be one of
the highlights of your visit. We’ll cruise along the picture
book canals and past some of the cities’ most spectacular
and charming spots. You’ll see elegant merchant residences,
churches and warehouses dating from the Golden Age, all
steeped in history. While we cruise we’ll enjoy beer, wine and

local Dutch food specialties.
You are free for dinner following
our cruise. Amsterdam is famous
for their excellent Indonesian and
Dutch restaurants, and this evening
is the perfect time to give one a try
(we’ll include some suggestions in
your final tour documents). After
dinner, be sure to walk the canals
as many of the more than 1,200
bridges spanning 160 canals are lined
with tiny lights giving a fairy tale
appearance. It is truly magical. Make

Wednesday, August 8
Free Day in Amsterdam
A completely free day to explore all
this world-class city has to offer.
If you’re interested in history be sure to pay a visit
to the Anne Frank House (advance tickets highly
recommended). Situated in the center of Amsterdam,
it holds the hiding place where Anne Frank wrote
her famous diary during World War II. The original
version of the diary is on display as part of the
permanent exhibition. This moving museum is one of
the city’s most popular attractions. Amsterdam is also
home to some of the finest art galleries in the world.
Make sure to see the Van Gogh Museum which
houses the largest collection of paintings by Vincent
Van Gogh, the Rembrandt House which was home to
the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn as well
as the very popular Hermitage Museum with works
by Picasso and Matisse.
Canal Cruise
When you’re hungry for lunch, why not try one of
the area “fish stalls” which serve ‘broodje haring’- a
herring sandwich (better than it sounds!), before
exploring the many neighborhoods of Amsterdam and
taking in the beauty of the 17th Century architecture.
Every tourist has heard about the famed Red Light
District prior to visiting Amsterdam. This evening
if you are feeling adventurous why not take a peek
at this famed district that not only offers a party
atmosphere and limitless people watching, but also
features beautiful architecture. B
Thursday, August 9
Opening Day of the World Dog Show
This morning your Huron Tour managers will escort
you via a short tram ride to the Amsterdam RAI, the
venue for the 2018 World Dog Show.
Friday-Sunday, August 10-12
World Dog Show Daily judging as per schedule to be
announced.
Use your tram pass and come and go as you like
during the 4 days of the dog show.
The Magical Amsterdam Canals
Monday, August 13
Return to USA
Transfer to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) for
flights back to the US or consider adding another night
or two in Amsterdam using our discounted rates at the
Radisson Blu Amsterdam.

To Make Your Reservation:
A deposit of $750 per person is required at time of booking on this tour.
This amount will be refundable (less $50 cancellation fee) until 120
days prior to travel. Final payment is due 90 Days prior to departure
and is non-refundable.
Single Travelers:
Single travelers may request to be matched with another suitable single
traveler. In the event that a single traveller cannot be matched or you
would like a private room, the single supplement is $899.
What’s Not Included:
Airfare, beverages and meals not detailed on the itinerary, optional
excursions and travel insurance. Please note that Travel insurance is
highly recommended. Please give us a call for help researching and
booking flights.
Final Tour Documentation:
Approximately 2 - 3 weeks prior to departure final tour docs will be
sent via priority mail and will include tour itinerary, full hotel details,
luggage tags, traveler list, maps and more.
