Charming Billy goes to a Better life
Islam requires us to submit to God’s will and do good to oth‐
ers 2:112. This is responding to Allah and His Messenger to dis‐
cover that everlas ng life is our true existence 8:24. True religion is the life we live, not the creed we profess. Jaleelul Rahaman went to a Be er Life on 7th December. He was the Religious Head of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman. He also served as the Secretary and the President. Billy as he was fondly known was a man of God who received Divine Inspira on on a daily basis. This was always reflected in his lifestyle of devo on to Allah and in his many lectures, stories, jokes and one‐liners urging people to submit them‐
selves en rely to Allah. His life’s mo o was “Allah is Watching.” About the AAII T&T Mul ple Roles Religion is presented in theory as well as in behaviour. It is pu ng God’s Word into flesh to dwell among us. John 1:14 We need more good people here on earth not in heaven. The Ahmadi approach to Islam makes all of us be er people. Charming Billy o en remarked that three mes most people seek God are when they Match Hatch and Dispatch (i. e. at marriage, birth and funerals.) Imaam Jaleelul Rahaman taught: When Allah answers your prayer, It increases your faith, When He tells you wait, It increases your pa ence, And when He tells you NO!, He has something be er for you. When God solves our problems, we have faith in His abili es. When God does not solve our problems He has faith in our abili es. Our Religious Head always urged: “Don’t let your living be controlled by the dead .” Turn away from sadness to release yourself from the prison of your grief. God does not take away grief, He gives you the strength and power to overcome it your‐
self. But you must believe in Him to ask Him for that power. Faith is a most powerful medi‐
ca on as Belief is relief. Do not believe in God un l you believe in yourself. Grieving is a great challenge to believing in your‐
self. Grieving does not take away tomorrow's troubles; it takes away today's peace of mind. Living solely in the past is denying yourself the power to live in the future. Don't hang yourself by holding on to sad‐
ness. In grieving we suffer stress and tension and are una‐
ble to relax. Stress and tension is who you think you should be. Relaxa on is who you are. This ques on is o en asked: Where is God when you need Him? The ques on should real‐
ly be: Where are you when God needs you? You need Allah to help you ‐ but God needs you to help others. A ach to people to find God. Don't count those whose power is expended in Allah's way as dead. No, No, they are alive. They are sustained by their Nur‐
turer rejoicing in what Allah has given them of His charms. They are glad for those who have not yet joined them but take up the mantle a er them, while they are not afraid, and they don't wallow in grief. They seek joy in Allah's favour and charm, and that Allah less‐
ens not the worthy impact of the believers 3:169‐171. Believers in God see opportunity in every difficulty. Disbelievers in God sees difficulty in every opportunity. Death is the op‐
portunity to go to Heaven and not come back. When tragic tears do fill our eyes, Have comfort in this gem: In life we open doors to Paradise, In death we enter them. Islam is living in heaven in this life and in heaven in the next. This life will surely end! Would we NOT want to go into the next life ‐ a Be er Life ‐ and not come back? The ul mate value of a person’s life is se ng a good example every day for future genera‐
ons whose words of thanks will not be heard.
