New frontal structure
The new electric motor – incl. all auxiliary systems – has led the
development of a new frontal structure and engine mounting in
aluminium.
As a result, the distance between the bonnet and the upper parts of
the engine has increased – providing even better pedestrian
protection than other C30 models.

ELECTRIFICATION
STRATEGY
The Volvo C30 Electric has two options on heating system
•
To use the energy stored in the battery
•
To use an external E85 ethanol [petrol] powered system
- Tank for the Bio-Ethanol heater is 14,5 liter and the heater will give 5 kW
- The ethanol heater will heat both the compartment and the batteries
- No compromises including cold climate
