Bishop Spirit Week Is February 3-7!
Lots of fun events are planned to help the kids show their Bishop spirit! They can get a
paw
print tattoo, snap a class photo with Buddy the Bear, decorate the school in blue and
gold and
share their thoughts on the meaning of Bishop pride. See what’s happening each day by
viewing this flyer. Go Bears!!!
Is everyone ready to show Bishop School Pride?
Here’s a rundown of the events that will be taking place throughout the week at school.
Next week is our annual Spirit Week!
Monday - We’ll kick off the week with a writing assignment and an art assignment. In
the classroom, students will be given the opportunity to write about Bishop pride.
And throughout the week, during their scheduled art class time, they’ll work with Ms.
Martin on decking out the school in blue & gold! We’ll be putting the art up in the halls,
so as the week goes on, the school will be decorated more and more with Bishop Spirit!
Tuesday- Bishop Bear paw print tattoos will be available during lunch in the
cafeteria. Stop by and get tattoed with Buddy’s paw print!
Wednesday - Photos with Buddy the Bear! En route to recess, each class will take a
class photo with Buddy near the cafeteria.
Thursday -Buddy Bear Scavenger Hunt Can YOU find Buddy? Bears will be hidden
throughout the school and students will have an opportunity to go on a hunt looking for
them.
Friday - Blue & Gold Day and Den Meeting This is your day to really do it up in your
school colors of blue and gold!
At the end of the day there will also be a school assembly with principal McAneny.
Looking for Bishop Gear to wear on Blue & Gold Day? Stop by the school THIS Friday
evening (January 31) from 6-8pm.
The PTO will be there selling t-shirts and more, during the Movie Night in the gym!
Upcoming Enrichment Events
All enrichment programs are also included on the calendar on the Bishop web site and
are fully
funded by the PTO.
Monday, February 3 - Mad Science: Minerals presentation for the 4th Grade
Wednesday, February 12 - Volunteers from the iRobot STEM program, All-School
Assembly
The presentations will explore how robots are made, what robots can be used for, and
what kinds of jobs there are in a robot company. There will also be a robot demo.
iRobot's
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) outreach program was created to
share
excitement for the robotics industry and to contribute to building a future for STEM
education
in the US.
