Skaill on the west coast of Mainland in Orkney. Mainland
is the biggest island in Orkney, which lies off the north

Skara Brae is a village made up of very ancient single
room houses, which was discovered just over 150 years
ago. The houses are built from stone and were originally
all free standing but some are now partly underground
