Tom Ostinatos In 3 Over 4/4 Grooves
This lesson focuses on spicing up your regular rock grooves by replacing the hi-hat strokes with tom
ostinatos. This example uses an ostinato phrased in 3/4 over a 4/4 rock groove. Because of this, it takes
3 times through the groove to get the “1” lined up again.
