Writing your own similes
Now you know how and why similes are used in English try to write a
few of your own. Remember you can you use ‘like’ or ‘as’ for your
comparison. There are two ways to use smiles.
Pattern 1 - verb + like + noun
He swims like a fish.
Pattern 2 - as + adjective + as + noun
He is as tall as a giant.
