Nominee: John Mahon
John has been involved with The Rower Inistioge and Kilkenny Community Games for
almost 20 years. Hailing from the Rower he became involved in Community Games when
his own children were younger. They have since passed the upper age limits but he
remained involved at both club and county level, actively participating in his role as
Chairman in both areas. John is an avid sports fan and of course hailing from Kilkenny,
hurling is of course his passion.
John is a well liked club member with a great sense of humour and he is the life and soul of
the party at social events. He gives tirelessly to Community Games and must be
commended for his ongoing commitment to Sport and the the involvement of children all
over Kilkenny County.
