Spanish at El Taller O ur Spanish Language School offers Spanish language classes at all levels to encourage cross-cultural dialogue in our community. Our acoustic method of Spanish instruction gets students speaking right away. Originated by Palombo and developed over 30 years of teaching, this approach is unique to El Taller and continues to be developed and refined in the living laboratory of our classes. Sound and dialogue are the basis of this method, which gets students communicating in Spanish quicker than they ever thought possible. Typically, beginning and intermediate classes divide each class in two parts: the first is dedicated to grammar exposition and verb drills in “call and response” format, while the second part focuses on developing conversational ability. Useful idiomatic phrases, a vocabulary of the most-used verbs and Latin American idiom and social customs will be emphasized.
