Rockhopper Penguins Creative Homework

Creative learning at home for the Summer Term.
Rockhopper Penguin class.
This term we will be investigating plants for the first
half term and then famous women for the final half
term of the year.
Plant a seed and record how much it
grows and how often you water it.
You could take photos of it or draw
diagrams to show how it changes. You
could use the data to create a graph.
Who will grow the tallest plant?
Create a 3D model of the
beanstalk from our Jack and
the Beanstalk story. Can you
include the land Jack found at
the top?
Make a poster labelling the
parts of a plant and what they
are used for.
Imagine you could meet a
famous woman from history.
Who would it be and why?
What questions would you ask
them?
Write about a day during the
holidays. What did you do, why
was it your best day?
Make a poster showing your
fraction knowledge. Can you show
½ ,¼ and 1/3 in different ways?
Year 2’s can you show ½=2/4?
Create a menu for a healthy meal.
Can you cook your meal with a grown
up and take photos of it? Did your
family enjoy it? Ask them to be a food
critic for your dish.
Read a traditional fairy tale and
write a book review for it.
Go for a walk in your local area.
Make a note of the plants and
animals you see. You could paint a
picture of what you saw.
Don’t forget you still need to read daily and spelling
keyrings at home too.
