They are adopting and filling Christmas stockings with the name, age, sex and interests of a child being raised by a relative that will be attached to the Christmas stocking. The child that is being raised by relatives can be from 0 through any age, as long as they still live with and are dependent upon the adult relative. We do not put an age limit because some of these children are going to college and others are “special needs” children/adults. All relatives raising these relative children need to give me the names, ages, sex and interest of your kids by November 19, 2011. You can email me this information at [email protected], telephone me at 208-769-7096 or bring this information to the next Relatives As Parents meeting on November 10, 2011 at the Coeur d’Alene Library(702 Front Ave, CdA). You do not have to be a member of the “Coeur d’Alene Relatives As Parents group”. If you live anywhere in North Idaho, Region 1, we welcome you to participate in our Christmas “Adopt-A-Sock Program”. The Christmas stockings will be filled and distributed at our December R.A.P. meeting held on December 8, 2011 at the Jewett House. For more information call 208-769-7096 or 208-667-0320.
