Fall Scout Teams Have HUGE Fall
The 2014 Fall Scout and Fall Scout UNDERCLASS
teams had a huge first year for the Hurricanes. The
UNDRCLASS team made up of mainly incoming
freshman competed in the 17u Fall Baseball.net
league where they took 2nd place competing two
ages above. The Fall Scout team consisting of mainly incoming seniors competed in the Diamond
League where they made the playoffs but decided
to opt out due to prior commitments in scheduling
Cuyahoga Community College.
The Canes Fall Scout and some of the UNDERCLASS team took on Tri-C this past Saturday at
Mottl Field in Parma. The Canes started off hot
and went up 2-0 early with a two out triple by
Derek Schwarber. The Canes held off Tri-C and
led 8-4 going into the 8th inning when things got a
little dicey. A leadoff double and back to back to
back triples ignited a big inning for Tri-C and they
took the lead 10-8. The Canes couldn’t overcome
this deficit but head coach, Ryan Franks had nothing
but positives coming away from the game. “We
really played and showcased well today. For a ros-
ter of 15-17 year olds competing against
players 19-24 years old we really hung
tough. We didn’t back down and were
leading the majority of the way. I was
very proud of our moxy and with three
four year schools here to scout, our guys
sparked a bunch of interest. “ The team
ended their season by beating TEAM
Michigan Prospect Scout 4-2. The team
ended the season 15-4 with the UNDERCLASS team going 9-3. 24-7 combined
record.
Fall Quick Facts: Todd Andrews got a hit in all 19 games this Fall. Freshman and 15u Cane Brian Hama collected two hits against college pitching against Tri‐C! 2015 Uniforms and Spirit-wear
Uniforms and Spirit-wear

by the Head Coach of
each team. Spirit-wear is
