EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT
Chandragupta Maurya was the first ruler of the Maurya Empire in ancient India. To receive
extra credit prior to the end of the quarter you will need to create a research PowerPoint that
details the life and impact of this important individual to Indian history. Use the guiding
questions for the specific slides as the basis of your research. The writing on each slide should
be done in paragraph/summary form (NO BULLET POINTS). As always I am looking for
specific/detailed work.
Points will be awarded for the following elements:
SLIDE 1: Introduction (6 points)



Name and picture
Years of rule
Your name
SLIDE 2: Background Information (10 points)



Who ruled India prior to him?
How did he become ruler of India?
At least 1 picture that represents the slide’s topic
