What is Scholars Day? - The College at Brockport

What is Scholars Day?
The College at Brockport’s Scholars Day was instituted in 1984 through the efforts of the College Senate.
Scholars Day has continued as a celebration of scholarly pursuits and creative activities by the campus
community.
SCHOLARS DAY has several pursuits:




To publicize research
To share new concepts and ideas
To expand knowledge
To provide an opportunity to socialize with other members of the campus community outside of one’s own department
or discipline.
This is the 34th year of celebrating scholarship on our campus!
This year Scholars Day and Scholars Night celebrates ??? presentations-poster sessions-performances-panels by ??? students, ??
faculty/staff, with an additional ?? serving as advisors, session chairs and facilitators.
Join us in celebrating student success across the campus today!
SCHOLARS DAY presentations begin at 8:30am and continue until 5pm on the main Brockport campus.
Classes are suspended during this time so that the entire campus community can participate.
THE METROCENTER POSTER GALLERY is offered at the Downtown Rochester campus in the Golden
Eagle Room from 4:30 to 5:30pm.
