Outreach Information
The following programs are delivered by our talented education staff in your classroom. Each program is designed for 30
students. If more are present then the charge of $5 per each additional student is added to the cost.

Pre K - 2nd grade program which can be adapted to upper elementary age
What are all those bones? What are dinosaurs and fossils and how are they different than
rocks? This program is an introduction to the science that brings out the kid in all of us.
Through a lively discussion, engaging crafts, activities and a lot of play, we will discover the
Age of Dinosaurs.

What is the dirt behind the science of paleontology and who are the fossil hunters doing all
the dirty work? Students will learn all about fossils and scientists who work hard to make
prehistory come to life with an interactive program of lively discussion and engaging activites.

Where is Egypt and what was life like back in the “ancient world?” This program is to be used
to create an understanding of the location of Egypt, to develop an awareness of the time period
of the “ancient world,” and to introduce students to the unique accomplishments and culture
of the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Why was the Nile River so important to ancient Egyptians? Students will broaden their
undestanding of ancient Egyptian culture. They will gain a better understanding of the
importance of the Nile River valley system and will delve deeper into the everyday lives of the
people that inhabited the ancient civilization.
