Its purpose is to spread the joy of Christmas to children and families who are less fortunate. Gently used and new toys are collected all year long. Any type of donation is accepted, such as toys, stuffed animals, books, games, puzzles, craft items, etc. Each one is carefully inspected to make sure they are not broken, missing parts, torn, etc. Collection and cleaning days and hours are on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30am to 11:30am. During the spring and fall months the toys are cleaned. Once cleaned, batteries are replaced, hair brushed, etc. and then they are bagged and ready to go. Church is located at 705 Main Street, Reisterstown, MD. In December, just before Christmas, the Project’s staff holds four shopping days where different organizations, churches and families can come in to shop. Jan Eline, a new volunteer at the Project, has found her time there to be very satisfying and enjoyable. More information is available from Maegan Thomas @ 443-527-3342.
