Examples Color Texture Smell Qualitative or Quantitative? 1 cup of water pH of fish tank = 6.8 Red apple A very tall man Some orange juice 130 pound female Slippery fish 3 gallons of gasoline Recording Data Data means any # that you read from a tool or any observation you make using your senses. This includes temperature, mass, volume, texture, color, etc. Remember to record the units of measurement (grams, mL, cm, etc…) Presenting Data Data should always be presented in columns in a data table. (use a ruler to construct) The data table MUST have a descriptive title or heading!!! (minimum of 6 words!) Every piece of data should have units. Spread it out!
