2017 WATERMELON COMPETITION
SCHEDULE AND GUIDELINES
ENTRY FEES AND PRIZES
Entry Fee: $1.00 per entry
Prize money: $20 to the largest watermelon by weight
Entries close: Wed 29th March 2017
Judging: finish of judging of fruit and vege, Sat 1st April, 2017
ENTRY CONDITIONS
1.
Entry Forms available online from the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Fair Society facebook and
website pages, Kalgoorlie Gardening facebook page and paper versions from McBrides
Garden Centre.
2.
Entries and entry fee can be posted to Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community Fair Society, PO
Box 399 Kalgoorlie 6430 or brought into KBCFS office, Cruikshanks arena.
3.
Entry Form and entry fee to be in a sealed envelope.
4.
Entries close Wed 29th March, 2017.
5.
Late entries will be accepted, but will not be eligible for prize money.
6.
Prizes will be given at 4pm Sunday 2nd April, in the areas where the exhibits are on
display.
7.
All care will be taken but NO responsibility will be accepted by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Community Fair Society if anything goes missing.
8.
Entries can be collected between 4- 6pm Sunday 2nd April or Monday 3rd April 9-11am.
9.
All fruit must be clean and free from disease or insects to avoid disqualification
10.
Exhibits can be benched between 4pm and 6pm, Fri 31st March or between 9 and
10am, Sat 1st April unless prior arrangements have been made.

hold the Society FREE from any liability in respect of any mistakes or errors which may be
