The Music Run™ is an un-timed, noncompetitive 5km fun run, split into
five Music Zones, each representing
a different genre of music - Rock,
Pop, Old School, Hip Hop and Dance.

IMPORTANT
NOTICES
• Please remember to arrive
EARLY and enjoy everything The Music Village has to offer.
• Runners arriving after 16h30 will not be allowed to participate in the run.
• Remember to wear your The Music Run™ T-shirt and always have your Beat Band on your arm as
this contains your unique runner number. You will not be allowed to enter the Start Zone without
these.
• The Music Run™ is a rain or shine event. However, in the event of lightning the event will be postponed until it is safe to continue.
• If you lose something, don’t worry, just head over to the Lost & Found, which is located at the Information booth in The Music Village and hopefully you’ll find it there.
• Runners, please keep to the right of the course. Walkers, dancers and participants with strollers or
in wheelchairs, please keep to the left.
• If running with small children, please keep a close eye on them and direct them through the run.
• Please follow any directions provided by event Officials, Marshals, Volunteers, and Law Enforcement.
• Above all, please be courteous and respectful to everyone around you. And of course, have an
AWESOME TIME!
IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES
RE-LIVE THE BEAT
We have medical support teams located in
The Music Village and at the 2.5km mark on
The Sound Track. If you are feeling unwell,
please look for one of our trained medical
professionals at either of these locations.
In-case of emergencies, participants will be
taken to the nearest hospital.
