x. What does horse tend to spook at while on trails: Tuff is a neat
horse. I was able to take him out in the arena and on the trails.
He has a slight problem with coming home and leaving and that will
need to be addressed before a beginner could ride him, however he
is great on the trials away from home.
When does horse tend to spook:Tuff isnt real spooky at just one
thing but has high energy for about the first half hour out on
trails. Didn’t spook at dogs jumping off sides of the hills. Very
easy to be around!
z. Level of skills rider needs to have to ride in arena:
Intermediate/ beginner with lessons or help for first month!
Level of skills rider needs to have to ride on trails:
intermediate/advance high energy levels and green broke
Overall score horse has before trial period: 3.5
Overall score horse has after evaluation: 4.5
Comments: When I first started working tuff, he started
out great. He had no problems with saddling or
bridling however he prefers a hackamore. I started out
in the round pen but quickly moved to arena and from
there we were riding outside on trails.
Tuff has only
one problem that will need work and that is that he
hates going away from home. Mainly cause he looses
focus on the rider and has his attention on his friends
back home. I really think this will go away with some
more ground work and also some training in the saddle.
With in a week I was able to get pretty far with him
and I know with a couples weeks more with training
this problem most likely go away!
