Give us a little background on where you come from, school, etc. A I grew up in the beautiful beach town of Ventura, where I spent most of my earlier years surfing and playing music. I come from a large and tightly knit Italian family and I’m close with my 3 siblings. I moved down to San Diego to attend UCSD and have never left this wonderful city. Q When did you first know you wanted to go into real estate/how did you get into real estate? “Brett is a fantastic realtor! He helped us buy our second house. As an architect, I was very particular about the features and quality of the home. Brett was knowledgable and quickly pursued only the properties that were a perfect fit. He was a great asset and communicator throughout the entire transaction.” -Jacob & Jen Welhouse A While in college I spent many years working in customer service. I knew that connecting with people, which comes naturally to me, was a key part in Real Estate. I started off working in commercial real estate for about 5 years. This was primarily property management and leasing of retail, office, and industrial space in San Diego and Los Angeles. My desire to further connect with unique individuals led me to residential Real Estate. Finding a home at Canter Brokerage has blended my passion to help others with a cutting edge company. Q What is something you enjoy doing outside of work? A Spending time with my wife, Megan, and trying to tame our crazy weimaraner Sadie. Surfing and songwriting are my top two hobbies. Q Fun fact that most people don’t know about you: A I can beat box surprisingly well. Q What is your proudest accomplishment in regard to real estate? A I am always proud when I find a first time buyer their first home, showing them their dream of home ownership can become a reality. Additionally, I had the opportunity to assist Saint Archer Brewery in leasing their new warehouse space in Miramar. Q What are some of your favorite things about San Diego? A Never being surprised by the weather, the surf, and the fact that there are always new things to do, from kayaking in La Jolla shores, to hiking Cowells Mountain.
