OVERVIEW
Zoombezi Bay is a 22.7 acre water park, owned and operated by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium,
that features 17 state of the art water slides, a wave pool, an action river, a lazy river, private
cabanas, a kiddie play pool and more.
ATTENDANCE
Zoombezi Bay serves as one of central Ohio’s most popular attractions for summer fun in
the sun. In 2013, over 350,000 guests visited Zoombezi Bay.
ADMISSION
Admission to Zoombezi Bay includes admission to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. General
admission is $24.99 for ages 2-9, $32.99 for ages 10-59 and $24.99 for ages 60 and over. Children
under two, Zoombezi Bay season pass holders and Columbus Zoo Gold Members are free.
Columbus Zoo members can purchase discounted tickets for $22.99 per person. Parking is $5 per
car. Prices are subject to change.

NEW IN 2014 – BABOON LAGOON!
Zoombezi Bay is being overrun by fun-loving, water seeking and mischievous baboons! Zoombezi Bay
will introduce a brand new multi-level play structure and surrounding pool to replace Barracuda Bay.
Baboon Lagoon will excite kids ages 2 to 10, but children of all ages are welcomed to enjoy the new
attraction. With over 115 interactive aquatic controls, 10 exciting waterslides, heated water and the
iconic 1,000 gallon bucket dump, this attraction will add to an already exciting family experience.
MEMBERSHIP
In 2013, Zoombezi Bay had 10,350 season pass holders in addition to 14,386 Columbus Zoo Gold
members whose memberships include admission to Zoombezi Bay. Zoombezi Bay season pass
benefits include: admission and parking at Zoombezi Bay and the Columbus Zoo, admission to the
Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and discounts at Zoombezi Bay and Columbus Zoo gift shops.
Individual Gold Memberships receive all the benefits included in a season pass plus free Zoo rides,
including Jungle Jack's Landing, for one year (excludes pony rides).
ATTRACTIONS
Splashes and surprises lie around every corner of the 17 water slides at Zoombezi Bay. In 2014,
brand new Baboon Lagoon opens and will replace Barracuda Bay. 2011, two state-of-the-art slides,
Python Plunge and Big Boa Falls, were completed. Python Plunge takes riders on an uphill adventure
as they accelerate to exhilarating speeds and are blasted uphill on jetted water and then shot into a
70-foot long landing pool. Big Boa Falls, one of only six in the United States, whips riders from side
to side and through an enclosed tunnel at tremendous speeds. They experience the rush of
weightlessness as they careen over a zero-gravity hill and splash down into a landing pool.
Other park favorites include: Croctail Creek, an adults-only lazy river; Wild Tides, a 544,500-gallon
wave pool; Katoomba Lagoon for the little ones and more.
AMENITIES
To enhance the visitor experience, locker rentals are available for $8 per day or $49 for the season.
Food and beverage are also available for purchase at nine establishments on Zoombezi Bay grounds.
From wraps and deli sandwiches to burgers and pizza, there is something to satisfy every taste bud.
Guests may not bring outside food and beverage into the park, but may keep it in the cooler coral
just outside park gates. For our guests that prefer a little privacy amongst the activity, Zoombezi Bay
is adding to our exciting inventory of cabanas. Twelve new cabanas will be available for rental on a
daily basis. Cabanas come complete with overhead fans, stocked refrigerators, a personal safe and
most importantly, private wait service for total relaxation.
ZOOMPASS
ZOOMPASS is the fastest way to get on all of the slides at Zoombezi Bay. New in 2012, this slide
reservation system allows visitors to bypass slide lines, giving them more time to enjoy all the other
park amenities.
GROUP SALES
From fun in the sun in one of our cabanas, to an afternoon in Colo’s Cove or a birthday blast,
Zoombezi Bay has something for every group. Our group sales team will assist guests through the
entire process, from securing reservations to creating a menu that fits your groups’ needs. Cabana

THE SURF SHOP
Forget your towel or sunscreen? No worries, The Surf Shop, located near the Zoombezi Bay
entrance, sells towels, sandals, sunscreen, tanning lotion, sunglasses, swimwear for all ages,
convenience items, swim diapers, novelties, souvenirs and more.
