PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Huffman: We had to cancel the parade but we hope to see you at the homecoming game. November 15th is the next BOT
meeting. I am inquiring about whether the parking garage will be commuter or resident parking as well as where parking will be
for the new residence hall. We’re working on a green initiative with Mission Green to stay sustainable. Thank you for attending
the debate watch party, we had over 1000 students in attendance. There’s a Technology Committee if anyone is interested; you
will be able to voice concerns to help make technology better on campus. Amendment 12 is the last amendment on the ballot for
the November 6th election; it will create a separate council of student body president’s from each state university to represent all
Florida students. We already have FSA which is comprised of student body presidents. I am voting no on this amendment, I want
you to research it and ask questions.
Jones: Where are the BOT meetings?
Huffman: The next one is on the Boca campus.
Tenenbaum: Did the debate party count as one of the events we’re allowed to have in the stadium?
Huffman: Yes it was one of five.
Mustain: Would you agree this new council would be unnecessary?
Huffman: Yes, it duplicates the process we have now, it disintegrates FSA. Our lobbying power will go away because we will
only lobby with other small schools.
Tenenbaum: Is there a date for the recycling?
Huffman: December 1st is the first game we start.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
1
Turner: If you get out around 5pm they are giving out food for Fall Family Fest in the SU. First UBAC meeting will be
November 9th hopefully the Senate meeting will follow behind that. November 5th 7pm will be the Battle of Boca against Lynn
University in the Burrow.
Dunne: How does new ticket policy affect the basketball games?
Turner: It will be the same process.
Mustain: Can you elaborate on the ticket process?
Turner: Tickets have to be printed out before the games from myfau.
GOVERNOR’S REPORT:
