June 18th ~ National Museum of Wildlife
Art’s Plein Air Festival
Where: Sculpture Trail

More Info: The Fifth Annual “Plein Air Fest”, a
family friendly event at the National Museum of
Wildlife Art, gathers more than 50 artists at the
museum’s sculpture trail overlooking the
picturesque National Elk Refuge. The artists
working outdoors (en plein air) draw a crowd to
enjoy the artwork and activities at the event,
which is free and open to the public. Artists will
paint around the three-quarter mile long
sculpture trail working with a variety of
mediums. During the fast paced “quick draw”
portion of the festival, artists will complete plein
air masterpieces in just four hours. Along with
seeing the artists at work, art lovers and
collectors will have an opportunity to purchase
the freshly created pieces via silent bid from
1:30-2:30pm.

from Taggart Lake Trailhead to the Signal
Mountain Lodge and the Moose-Wilson Road
from the Death Canyon Trailhead to the Granite
Canyon Trailhead are closed to motorized
vehicles from November 1st -April 30th .
November 7th ~ Yellowstone National Park
Fall Road Closures: All park roads closed to
the public at 8 a.m., except from the North
Entrance to Upper Mammoth Terrace, and
Mammoth via Tower Junction to Northeast
Entrance. Cooke City via Colter Pass to the
Long Lake gate is not maintained for wheeled
vehicle travel.

The Jackson Hole Rodeo
Beginning Memorial Day weekend and running
through Labor Day, the rodeo takes place every
Wednesday and Saturday, some weeks in July
and August also feature a Friday night rodeo.
The first rodeo kick-off will be Saturday, May
