Pharmaceutical Applications: Ammonium Acetate is used as a basic starting raw material and
reactant in agricultural pesticides, herbicides, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS),
and other specific pharmaceuticals where a two-carbon group for synthesis is desired.
Specialty Fine/Chemical Applications: Ammonium Acetate is used as an acidifier in textile
dyes and hair dyes. The material is also used as a buffer in topical personal care and cosmetic
products such as shampoos, conditioners, skin lotions, etc.
