Julianne - WSBA Unite Here are the comments from the Juvenile Law Section: The Juvenile Law Section stands by its comments submitted on 1/22, in which we opposed the process used to develop the Workgroup’s recommendations, the standard charter, and the pooling of reserve funds Julianne - WSBA Unite Response 02/04/2016 10:46 PST Caedmon Cahill [email protected] 02/04/2016 10:46 PST Caedmon Cahill [email protected] 02/04/2016 10:49 PST Caedmon Cahill [email protected] Our Section is newer and smaller, and somewhat unique in that we are made up largely of public employees, solo practitioners or members of small firms. We require the flexibility afforded in our Bylaws for Section leadership and “ascendancy”, as well as the shared leadership among attorneys who represent opposing clients. Rather than imposing a one-size fits all solution, the Bar should identify the administrative burdens imposed by our current Bylaws so that we can work with the Bar Thank you Caedmon! I will present your to minimize them. comments when your section is up. Thanks. I had to submit in three separate sections given space constraints. 02/04/2016 11:12 PST Caedmon Cahill [email protected] Anyone else struggling to get webcast streaming? 02/04/2016 11:14 PST 02/04/2016 11:23 PST Caedmon Caedmon Cahill Cahill [email protected] [email protected] I am only getting every few seconds of the webcast audio now..... ok, thanks. The proposal represents a grab of the various diverse sections by the WSBA heirarchy and will , in all likelihood kill them. Skuttle the whole idea please. I haven't yet heard a definition of the problem that requires addressing. Is it fiscal, governance or what. What does a takever of the 28 sections by WSBA have to resolving the problem, when the likely result , if enacted would be the end of the sections Hi Ron. Thank you for your comments. We will forward them to the Workgroup. Please feel free to also participate in the Group Chat function by clicking "Group Chat" button on the bottom middle of the screen. Julianne - WSBA Unite
