About the AOA
MISSION: The Association of Otolaryngology Administrators facilitates
professional and financial development, networking and support to leaders
in Ear, Nose and Throat practice management.
VISION: The Association of Otolaryngology Administrators aspires to be the
association of the most visible, valued and trusted otolarygnology practice
management experts, fostering excellence in the professional achievement,
leadership in practice management, and information to enhance the quality
of otolaryngology practice.
The AOA is a leader in otolaryngology practice management that serves its
members by offering education, networking and resources. The AOA offers
educational opportunities such as webinars and its annual educational
conference to help practice administrators, managers, coders and more
run their practices more efficiently and add money to their bottom line.
There are numerous opportunities to network with fellow members via the
AOA’s website – www.AOAnow.org – as well as face-to-face at the annual
educational conference, a three-and-a-half day educational event that takes
place every fall. The AOA also offers free resources on its website as well as

Print Advertising
The Oto’s Scope is the AOA’s quarterly magazine. This 32- to 36-page printed glossy features articles written by members,
vendors and outside sources that focus on the following areas: operations, marketing, technology, finance, human resources and
leadership. This magazine reaches all Professional and Associate members of our organization, or roughly 90% of our membership.
The magazine also is mailed once yearly as a joint issue to members of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head &
Neck Surgery as well as our own membership, totaling nearly 11,000 individuals for that mailing alone. The joint mailing occurs
each year in June.
Advertising below can be purchased for single issues or in package deals. Advertising for the joint issue must be purchased
separately but can be added onto any package deal below for the additional cost.

The AOA website – www.AOAnow.org – is one of the most valuable
resources available and a huge benefit to membership. Members access
the website to download files from the Practice Management Resource
Library, post questions to our Discussion Forums, learn about our upcoming
educational webinars and more. The AOA website is also the place where
potential members go to learn about the association, and these individuals
can also sign up for a free 30-day trial membership to access some of the
resources mentioned above.
There are several website advertising options, all illustrated below:
Rotating Banner [Size: 1,000 x 320 pixels] – This banner offers an eyecatching view in the center of the AOA home page. Your banner will
rotate as one of five banners on the page. The other four banners all are
AOA-related, leaving your company as the sole outside advertiser in this
space.
Lower Banner [Size: 1,000 x 200 pixels] – This non-rotating banner
appears in the lower center of the home page.

Email Advertising
Dedicated eBlasts are an excellent way to get your company’s message directly into the inboxes of our members. You craft the
message – including all of the wording, branding and graphics – and provide us with HTML code (or we can create it for you, for an
additional charge). We then send the email from the AOA on behalf of your company to our entire membership, which consists of
more than 900 individuals.
From products and services to upcoming educational events and meetings, Dedicated eBlasts can serve as a wonderful tool
to share timely information in an eye-catching, graphical manner. Beginning in 2014, companies are limited to sending one (1)

Infomercial Advertising
The AOA offers webinars to its members roughly once per week.
Infomercial webinars are 30- or 60-minute presentations that allow
a company to discuss its products and services with association
members. Members will register for free to attend all infomercial
webinars and can also order the digital recording before or after the
live presentation. Successful infomercials combine education as well
as product promotion.
The webinars are hosted within our platform, Adobe Connect,
and moderated by a staff member at the AOA Office. The 30-minute
webinar presentations allow a 25-minute presentation with 5 minutes
for questions and answers at the end. The 60-minute presentations
allow a 50-minute presentation with 10 minutes for questions and
answers at the end.
Companies will receive a listing of attendee names, practice
names and practice phone numbers of everyone who attended the live presentation. Companies will not receive any information
from individuals who purchase the recordings after the live webinar presentation; however, those who purchase the recording will
have access to the entire presentation – including handouts – that will have your company’s information.

The AOA’s 32nd Annual Educational Conference will be held Oct.
8-11, 2014, at the brand-new Omni Nashville in Nashville, TN.

Resource Guide Business Listing
In February 2014, the AOA will mail a Resource Guide that will list all of the resources that AOA offers, including webinar
subscriptions and recordings, manuals, surveys and more. The Resource Guide will also include an Industry Business Directory
with various sizes and styles of company listings and will be distributed to our membership and prospects.
